My son, Jacob, was killed due to a negligent driver of a tractor pulling a grain cart across the back of the truck where he was standing.
This incident was not properly investigated by local County Sheriff Deputy , Tim Nichols. Jacob’s death certificate says cause of death is blunt force trauma and it is an accident. No evidence collected, no BA taken after the coroner requested it, and the Deputy did not know if the tractor was motorized.
Jacob was the light of my life and I never got answers as to what or why his death occurred. I was told by an attorney at the least it was negligent homicide. This was not an accident? Driving a huge tractor hooked to a loaded grain cart across the back and of the truck where Jacob was standing? The back of the truck was crushed.
Let’s get this changed. These are not accidents and it’s time they are called what they really are.
