Victoria Frances Jones

My Youngest daughter, Victoria Frances Jones, had just started her Junior year of High School with her twin brother. Victoria worked 30 hours a week at her job, played softball, was in the National Honor Society, sang in Choir, donated her time to helping people with side jobs, and she Loved Her Life.

Victoria met a person at a Wednesday afternoon Teen Church Group who gave her what she thought was a “Perc”, it wasn’t. It was Fentanyl and it took her life.

This person admitted that he Knew that it was Fentanyl and he gave it to her anyway. He advised how to chop it up and snort it. Victoria called and texted him many times saying that she “was feeling it” and that “something was wrong”. At that point he had many choices that he could have made: Call 911, Return to our house, Call us! HE DID NOTHING!! He Let Victoria Die!!

He was 17 years old. Arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder & Endangering the Life of a Child Resulting in Death. He was Certified to Stand Trial as an Adult. He was sworn in many times under oath and ADMITTED under oath that He Knew it was Fentanyl. Both counts should have gotten him 20 years in Jail but it did not. He asked for a Plea Deal and it was left up to the Judge to sentence him. We asked for 20+ years and his lawyer wanted Probation so it was the Judge who decided.

The Judge said that he was “Salvageable” and sentenced him to 120 Days in jail, 2 Years Drug Court, and 5 Years Probation….For the Admitted, Intentional Murder of My Daughter Victoria. My Daughter was 16 Years 9 Months & 4 Days old when she was Murdered!
